Rail
Harsco Infrastructure's experience and current portfolio of work includes a number
of high-profile and prestigious rail projects across the UK, including the complex
Forth Rail Bridge refurbishment, as well as Earl’s Court and London Victoria train
stations.
With a dedicated team of approximately 200 staff, management and scaffolders
who are PTS qualified, we have, over many years, developed the skills needed to
work in challenging environments and now have an enviable reputation within the
scaffolding sector as a whole.
Rail renovation projects represent very specific challenges for the designers
and engineers involved. The design of safe and appropriate access, the protection
of the public and the rolling stock, no disruption to timetables and the need
for special care of architectural heritage all require specialist expertise on
the part of the access contractor. In addition, virtually all of this work has
to be carried out while the stations remain in use, under short possessions that
are typically at night.
With our ability to provide a full range of access services (including traditional
and system scaffolds, Mastclimbers™, self-propelled boom and scissor-lifts, scaffold
towers, temporary roofs and ancillary equipment such as fall protection equipment,
guardrails, ladders and step-ladders) we can help you solve any access problem
likely to arise on any rail project.
